Need Some New Tech?
My XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad

Have you been thinking about purchasing your first or second drawing tablet?

I was not paid to write this article or review and I have some very good things to say about the brand of tablet that I currently have. I just wanted to share my experience with you and maybe you can share it with others.

XP-Pen drawing tablets are often a fantastic choice for digital artists, especially beginners or those on a budget! I can confirm this as my first digital drawing tablet was an XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad. I just bought it this year in January and it has proven to be an amazing investment, I have not regretted it once. And I use it very frequently. For the price of an iPad alone with no peripherals, I could get two of these XP-Pen tablets with all of the accessories included and also purchase an external keyboard to go with it. When I purchased my XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad, it came with multiple replacement pen nibs, and a protective cover for the back – and there were two types of nibs: a black one which glides more easily on the screen like glass, and the other is gray and it’s like you’re writing with a felt pen and it has a very nice feel to it when drawing. I actually prefer the latter nibs because of the friction that is there when drawing.

XP-Pen tablets are also generally known for offering excellent value for money, providing a responsive drawing experience with good pressure sensitivity at a more affordable price point than some competitors. Many models boast high-resolution screens (for pen displays) and a comfortable pen that doesn’t require batteries. My tablet’s pen does not require charging or batteries and the case comes with a nice place to hold the pen when not in use. Some users have complained about a bit of a lag when drawing but this is barely noticeable. The screen resolution is amazing and I can draw on large canvases without affecting the system’s performance.

The physical build quality of these tablets is solid, and they often come with customizable express keys that can significantly speed up your workflow. The drivers are typically stable and easy to install. Mine doesn’t have much in the way for express keys or drivers as it is mainly just a tablet that runs android, but this is fine because you don’t really need them with it. If you were to use an iPad, you wouldn’t get these buttons anyways. So this is definitely not a deal breaker when considering purchasing an XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad. I can also confirm that the build quality of this tablet is excellent and solid, especially for the price paid. Do not be fooled, if you are considering purchasing a drawing tablet for the first time, this is the one that I highly recommend.

While they might not always have the absolute top-tier features or brand recognition of the most expensive tablets, I can say that XP-Pen consistently delivers a reliable and enjoyable drawing experience that makes them a strong contender for anyone getting into digital art or looking for a dependable secondary tablet.

Thank you for reading!
